Seat of Sri Chakra & Mahameru Worship
Sri Chakra Maha Meru Peedam is the seat of Mahameru and Sri Chakra worship established in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh — a region historically known as Vilasapuri, an ancient centre for Shakta worship.
Guided by HH Sri Sri Sacchidananda Tirtha Mahaswamigal, an Advaita Sannyasi in the lineage of the Shankaracharya tradition and a devotee of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, the Ashram carries forward Vedic learning, temple worship, and Annadhanam for thousands of devotees each year.
Twenty years ago, Swamigal established the Peedam in a rural region of Bilaspur — a deliberate choice reflecting his deep commitment to the empowerment of marginalised communities through education, worship and service.
