HH Sri Sri Sacchidananda Tirtha Mahaswamigal
HH Sri Sri Sacchidananda Tirtha Mahaswamigal is an Advaita Sannyasi in the lineage of the Shankaracharya tradition, having taken Sannyasa Diksha from HH Sri Sri Ishwarananda Tirtha Mahaswamin. Born in a traditional Tamil Iyer family in Salem, Tamil Nadu, he has devoted his life to establishing Sanatana Dharma in the heart of India.
"His mission is to establish Sanatana Dharma firmly in the centre of India, for the benefit of mankind at large."
Twenty years ago, Swamigal established the Peedam in a rural region of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh — a deliberate choice reflecting his deep commitment to the empowerment of marginalised communities. He is affectionately known to devotees across the country as Bilaspur Swamigal.
As a devotee of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Swamigal continues the Shakta worship tradition of Sri Chakra and Mahameru at the Peedam, while overseeing the Ashram's Pathashala, Gaushala and Annadhanam service to the community.
